Enrolling a Student in Saint Paul Public Schools? Students who want to enroll in Saint Paul Public Schools must first
schedule an intake appointment at the Student Placement Center. Appointments are strongly recommended
but walk-ins are accepted as time permits. Intake hours are 8:15 -
2:30. To schedule an intake appointment, please call (651)632-3701. During intake, students and their families will:
- Meet with Student Placement Center staff to share information about their students
- Receive language assessment if a language other than English is spoken at home
- Learn about available schools and programs and select a school
- Meet with a school nurse to provide medical history, receive immunization updates, and connect to community resources
For your intake appointment,  you should (but do not need to) bring:
- Student(s) who will enroll in school
- Birth certificate, passport, I-94 or other government-issued proof of name and age
- Social Security number (optional)
- Records from the previous school including:
Transcripts for secondary students (grades 7-12) Name, address and phone number of the previous school (K-12) - IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or other records for special education students
- Immunization records
If you do not have this information available, please schedule your appointment anyway so that your child can be enrolled in school immediately.
